For our Bangladeshi travelers I always say two things: shop at Mustafa Centre in Little India — open 24 hours, everything under one roof — and for proper halal food head to Arab Street (near Sultan Mosque) or Geylang Serai. One more: the Gardens by the Bay light show at night is completely free, so don't let anyone sell you a ticket for it.
