Quite worth it, it's the #1 must-see in Bali! The Kecak (pronounced "ke-chak") is a Balinese dance-drama performed by 100+ men sitting in concentric circles, chanting "cak-cak-cak" rhythmically while dancers perform the Ramayana epic story. The climax features a dancer walking through REAL fire! Performed at sunset on the cliff-top amphitheater at Uluwatu with the Indian Ocean as backdrop, it's utterly exceptional and memorable. Halal food is widely available, Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim-majority country, so you'll find halal restaurants everywhere (look for "Halal" signs). Mosques are available in major tourist areas. Just use normal travel precautions and you'll feel completely welcome!
