Service Scope

goFLY Limited — a trusted visa processing agency in Bangladesh — provides comprehensive support for China visa applications via CVASC Dhaka. Our experienced team assists with:

  • Tourist Visa (L Visa) — Tourism, sightseeing, visiting friends
  • Business Visa (M Visa) — Trade fairs, meetings, commercial activities
  • Student Visa (X1/X2) — Study in China (long-term and short-term)
  • Family/Private Visas (Q1/Q2/S1/S2) — Family reunion and private visits
  • Work Visa (Z Visa) Document Support — After you secure genuine employer sponsorship

We handle COVA form completion, document review, photo specification guidance, CVASC submission support, and step-by-step guidance throughout the process.

❌ We Do NOT Process

Direct job placements or sponsor work permits. China Z Visa (Work Visa) requires a Work Permit Notification Letter and Invitation Letter (PU Letter) from a licensed Chinese employer — these must come from your employer, not from us. Any agency promising "guaranteed China work visa package" without a real job offer and valid work permit notification is running a scam. goFLY only assists with Z visa documentation AFTER you have genuine employer sponsorship with proper paperwork from Chinese authorities.

⚠️ Our Honest Approach

We declined 50+ China visa applications in 2025 during free consultations — because those cases had weak documentation, inconsistent financials, or unrealistic expectations. We would rather lose the sale than take your money for a likely refusal. This honest approach has earned us a 90%+ success rate on cases we accept.

  • Step 2 — Appointment (if required): Book appointment slot at CVASC during peak seasons via the official website
  • Step 3 — Physical Submission: Submit original documents and provide biometrics (fingerprints) at CVASC in person

Tourist Visa (L Visa) — Step-by-Step Process

The L Visa (Tourist Visa) is the most common visa type for Bangladeshi travelers visiting China for tourism, sightseeing, or visiting friends. Here's the complete application process:

1

Complete COVA Online Application Form

Fill out the China visa application form on the COVA system (cova.mfa.gov.cn). Print the completed form and sign it in the designated place. Ensure ALL information matches your passport exactly — name, date of birth, passport number, issue date, and expiry date. Any mismatch is grounds for rejection.
2

Prepare Required Documents

Gather all required documents: passport (current + all old passports), 2 photos (48×33mm, white background — NOT passport size), confirmed flight bookings, hotel reservations for all nights, day-by-day itinerary, 6-month bank statements, bank solvency certificate, employment proof, and a cover letter explaining your trip purpose. See complete checklist below.
3

Book Appointment at CVASC (If Required)

During peak seasons (summer June–August, Chinese New Year period, October Golden Week), book an appointment slot at CVASC Dhaka website. During off-peak periods, walk-in submission may be possible, but appointment is always recommended to avoid long queues. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time.
4

Submit at CVASC & Provide Fingerprints

Visit CVASC Dhaka (Level 4, 66 Gulshan Avenue) during submission hours (Sunday to Thursday, 9 AM – 12 PM). Submit all original documents and printed application form. Provide 10-finger fingerprint scan (required for ages 14–70). Pay the visa fee at the counter. Keep your submission receipt safely — this is your tracking reference.
5

Track Application Status

Track your application status online at the CVASC Dhaka website using your receipt number. You may also receive SMS updates if you provided your mobile number. Standard processing takes 4–5 working days from submission date.
6

Collect Your Passport with Visa

Collect your passport during collection hours (Sunday to Thursday, 3 PM – 4 PM). Bring your original submission receipt and ID. Verify all visa details immediately before leaving: name spelling, passport number, validity dates, number of entries allowed, and permitted stay duration. Report any errors on the spot.
💡 goFLY Expert Tips
  • Book hotels that exactly match your itinerary — inconsistencies between your travel plan and hotel bookings raise red flags
  • Show a realistic itinerary — visiting 8 cities in 7 days looks suspicious; plan reasonably
  • If visiting friends in China, still book hotels as backup accommodation proof rather than only showing their address
  • First-time applicants typically receive single-entry visas; build a travel history for future multi-entry applications
  • Include old passports even if they have no China stamps — showing any international travel history helps
  • Your cover letter should explain WHY you want to visit specific cities and what specifically you plan to do

Tourist Visa (L Visa) — Complete Document Checklist

🪪 Application & Identity Documents

  • Application Form: Completed online via COVA system (cova.mfa.gov.cn), printed and personally signed
  • Current Passport: Original with minimum 6 months validity and 2+ blank visa pages
  • Old Passports: All previous passports — critical for demonstrating travel history to China or other countries
  • Photos: 2 recent photos — 48mm × 33mm, pure white background, no glasses, taken within 6 months. NOT standard passport size (35×45mm)
  • NID Copy: National ID card, both sides, colour photocopy

✈️ Travel Plan Documents

  • Cover Letter: Explains purpose of visit, planned cities, activities, travel dates, who is funding the trip, ties to Bangladesh, and intention to return
  • Round-Trip Flight Booking: Confirmed booking showing entry and exit dates. Use refundable tickets until visa is approved
  • Hotel Reservations: Confirmed bookings covering ALL nights in China — dates must match flight bookings exactly
  • Day-by-Day Itinerary: Detailed travel plan showing which city you visit on which date, attractions/activities, and how you travel between cities

💰 Financial Evidence (CRITICAL)

  • Bank Statements: Last 6 months from all personal accounts, stamped by bank, showing consistent balance and regular transactions
  • Bank Solvency Certificate: Original certificate from your bank (should be recent — within 7–10 days of application)
  • Fixed Deposits (FDR): If you have fixed deposits, include certificates — shows financial stability
  • Sponsor Documents: If someone else is funding your trip — their bank statements (6 months) + signed sponsorship letter + their NID + relationship proof
  • Property Documents: Ownership documents for land or property — demonstrates strong ties to Bangladesh and financial standing
⚠️ Explaining Large or Sudden Deposits

Sudden large deposits in your bank account within 1–2 months before application are a RED FLAG. If you have legitimate large deposits (property sale, matured FDR, business income, family gift), explain them clearly in your cover letter with supporting documents:

  • Property sale: Sale deed, registration documents
  • FDR maturity: Original FDR certificate showing maturity date
  • Business income: Invoices, contracts, business bank statements
  • Gift: Signed gift letter from donor + their bank statements

Unexplained sudden deposits often lead to refusal as they appear to be borrowed money to temporarily inflate your balance.

💼 Employment / Status Proof (CRITICAL)

  • Employed: NOC letter on company letterhead (stating position, salary, travel dates approved, return date), salary certificates/payslips (3–6 months), company ID card, employment contract
  • Business Owners: Trade licence (current/renewed), TIN certificate, business bank statements (6 months), company registration documents
  • Professionals: Professional licence/registration (doctors, engineers, lawyers), chamber membership proof
  • Students: Student ID card, enrollment letter from institution, leave permission, parent/guardian's financial documents as sponsor
  • Retired: Official retirement letter, pension documents, bank statements showing regular pension credits

👨‍👩‍👧 Visiting Friends in China (Additional Documents)

  • Invitation Letter: From your friend in China — stating your relationship, visit duration, accommodation arrangement, and their commitment
  • Friend's ID: Copy of their Chinese National ID card (if Chinese citizen) or passport + residence permit (if foreigner)
  • Relationship Evidence: Photos together, communication records, previous meeting evidence
❌ Most Common Document Problems for China Visa
  • Wrong photo size: Submitting standard 35×45mm passport photos instead of 48×33mm China visa photos — instant rejection
  • Bank statements without consistent transactions: Statements showing only a high balance with no regular salary credits or business income look fabricated
  • Sudden large deposits: Appears as borrowed money — must be explained with supporting documents
  • Itinerary and hotel bookings that don't match: Hotel in Beijing on dates when itinerary shows you in Shanghai
  • Missing signature on application form: Unsigned forms are rejected immediately
  • Unsigned cover letter: All letters must be signed
  • Old passports not submitted: Missing opportunity to show previous international travel history
  • Unrealistic itinerary: Claiming to visit Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Guilin, and Shenzhen in 7 days looks fabricated

Business Visa (M Visa) — Requirements

The M Visa allows you to attend business meetings, conferences, trade fairs, or negotiate contracts in China. You are visiting as a business visitor — NOT to take up employment in China.

Core Requirements

  • Invitation Letter from Chinese Company: Must be on official company letterhead with: red company chop/stamp, your full details, purpose of visit, specific meeting dates, activities in China, who bears costs, and explicit confirmation you won't be employed or receive salary from Chinese sources
  • Chinese Company's Business Licence: Copy of the inviting company's business registration certificate
  • Your Company Documents: Trade licence (current), TIN certificate, company NOC letter on company letterhead
  • Business Bank Statements: Your company's last 6-month bank statements showing active operations
  • Trade Fair Invitation: If attending trade fair — official invitation from the fair organizer with event details, booth/registration information
  • Previous Business Correspondence: Emails, contracts, import/export records, purchase orders if you have an existing business relationship with the Chinese counterpart
  • Company Profile: Brochure, website printout, major products/services, client list

M Visa Entry Options

Entry Type Validity Stay Per Entry Best For
Single Entry 3 months 30 days One-time business trip
Double Entry 6 months 30 days each Two planned business visits
Multiple Entry (6M) 6 months 30–60 days each Regular business travelers with history
Multiple Entry (1Y) 1 year 30–60 days each Frequent business travelers with strong history
💡 Business Visa Success Tips
  • The quality of the Chinese company's invitation letter is the single most important factor — it must have the official red company chop/stamp
  • A vague invitation letter ("We invite Mr. X to visit China") is often rejected; the letter must be detailed with specific meeting agenda, dates, and purpose
  • Multiple-entry M visas are significantly easier to obtain if you have previous China business travel history in your passport
  • Attending a recognized trade fair (Canton Fair, electronics fairs in Shenzhen, etc.) with official organizer invitation strengthens your application considerably
  • Previous import/export records, Alibaba trade history, or commercial invoices showing existing China business relationship all strengthen the application

Student Visa (X1/X2) — Requirements

The X Visa is required for all study purposes in China. X1 is for long-term study (over 180 days) and X2 is for short-term study (up to 180 days).

X1 Visa — Study Over 180 Days

  • Original Admission Notice: Official admission letter from the Chinese educational institution (university, language school, etc.)
  • JW201 or JW202 Form: Original form issued by the Chinese institution — JW202 for self-funded students, JW201 for government scholarship students
  • Physical Examination Record: Foreigner Physical Examination Form (required by most Chinese universities — completed at approved clinic in Bangladesh)
  • Academic Documents: Previous degree certificates, academic transcripts (may require notarization)
  • Financial Proof: Scholarship letter (if applicable) OR personal/parent bank statements showing sufficient funds
  • Study Plan: Brief statement explaining your study intentions, why you chose this institution, and your academic goals
  • Language Proficiency: HSK score (if required by program) or equivalent
⚠️ X1 Visa Holders — Critical Notice

The X1 visa is an entry visa only — it allows you to enter China but does NOT authorize long-term stay by itself. You MUST apply for a Residence Permit at the local Public Security Bureau (PSB) Exit-Entry Administration within 30 days of entering China. Your university's international student office will guide you through this process. Do not overstay your initial entry period — this can result in fines and future visa difficulties.

X2 Visa — Study Up to 180 Days

  • Admission Notice: Letter from Chinese school/university confirming your enrollment
  • Financial Proof: Personal or parent bank statements, or scholarship confirmation
  • Academic Background: Relevant educational certificates (degree, SSC, HSC transcripts)
  • Course Details: Information about the program duration, curriculum, and institution

CSC Scholarship Applicants

If you received a Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), your Chinese university will provide the JW201 form. Scholarship students have simplified financial requirements as the scholarship covers tuition and provides a monthly living stipend. Include your CSC award letter in your application.

💡 Student Visa Tips
  • Start your visa application at least 3–4 weeks before your program start date to allow for processing time
  • Ensure your Admission Notice and JW form have matching information — any discrepancy can cause delays
  • Many Bangladeshi students study Chinese language at Chinese universities — these still require a proper X visa, not a tourist visa
  • If your physical examination is required, get it done at an approved clinic and ensure results are within the validity period

Work & Family Visas (Z/Q/S)

Z Visa (Work Visa) — Requirements

  • Work Permit Notification Letter: Issued by Chinese employer after obtaining Work Permit approval from the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (takes 2–4 weeks through Chinese authorities)
  • PU Letter (Invitation Letter): Official invitation letter from the Chinese employer with authorization code — issued after Work Permit is approved
  • Employment Contract: Signed employment contract with the Chinese employer
  • Qualifications: Degree certificates, professional certifications — may require notarization and authentication
  • Health Check: Medical examination at approved clinic may be required before application
  • Criminal Record Certificate: Police clearance certificate may be required
❌ Work Visa Reality Check

goFLY does NOT provide job placement or work permit processing. The Z visa process MUST begin with your Chinese employer — they obtain the Work Permit Notification from Chinese authorities, which takes 2–4 weeks. Only AFTER receiving the Work Permit Notification and PU Letter from your employer can you apply for the Z visa at CVASC Dhaka. Any agency promising "China work visa packages" or "factory job visas" without you having a legitimate, verifiable employment contract from a registered Chinese company is almost certainly a scam. Be extremely cautious.

Q Visa (Family Reunion)

Visa For Stay Key Requirements
Q1 Family reunion with Chinese citizens or permanent residents (over 180 days) Long-term (convert to residence permit) Invitation letter, relationship proof (marriage/birth certificates), host's Chinese ID, host's proof of China residence
Q2 Visiting relatives who are Chinese citizens or permanent residents (up to 180 days) Up to 180 days Invitation letter from relative, relationship documents, relative's Chinese ID copy

S Visa (Private Affairs)

Visa For Stay Key Requirements
S1 Visit spouse, parent, or child of foreigner with China residence permit (long-term over 180 days) Long-term (convert to residence permit) Invitation from family member, their passport and China residence permit copy, relationship documents (marriage/birth certificate)
S2 Short-term visit to spouse, parent, or child of foreigner in China (up to 180 days) Up to 180 days Same as S1 but for shorter stays; does not require residence permit conversion

Fees & Processing Times

Visa Fees (Approximate — April 2026)

Entry Type Approximate Fee (BDT) Visa Validity
Single Entry ৳7,500 – ৳9,000 3 months from issue date
Double Entry ৳11,000 – ৳13,000 6 months from issue date
Multiple Entry (6 months) ৳14,000 – ৳16,000 6 months from issue date
Multiple Entry (1 year) ৳17,000 – ৳20,000 1 year from issue date

Processing Times & Express Options

Service Type Processing Time Additional Cost (BDT)
Regular Processing 4–5 working days Standard fee only
Express Processing 2–3 working days + ৳3,000 – ৳4,000
Rush Processing 1 working day + ৳6,000 – ৳7,000 (subject to availability)
⚠️ Always Verify Current Fees Before Applying

China visa fees change periodically based on reciprocity arrangements and CVASC policy updates. The figures above are approximate and for guidance only. Always verify current fees on the official CVASC Dhaka website or call goFLY at 01713-289170 for the latest rates before your visit. All fees are non-refundable regardless of outcome.

💡 Processing Time Tips
  • Processing time starts from the date of document submission at CVASC — not from when you completed the online form
  • Working days do not include Fridays, Saturdays, Chinese public holidays, or Bangladeshi public holidays
  • During peak seasons (Chinese New Year, October Golden Week), even regular processing may take longer — apply well in advance
  • Rush processing (1 working day) is subject to availability and is not guaranteed — check with CVASC before relying on it
  • For urgent travel, contact goFLY to assess if rush processing is appropriate for your application type

Photo Size & Biometrics Requirements

Photo Specifications (Strictly Enforced — Most Common Rejection Reason)

Requirement Specification
Size 48mm × 33mm — this is NOT standard passport photo size
Background Pure white, no shadows, no patterns
Recency Taken within the last 6 months
Face Coverage Face should occupy 70–80% of photo area
Expression Neutral expression, mouth closed, eyes open and looking at camera
Glasses Remove all glasses for photo
Head Covering Not allowed except for documented religious reasons
Quantity 2 identical photos required
Quality High resolution, no pixelation, no blurriness, properly exposed
❌ Photo Size is 48×33mm — NOT Standard Passport Size!

Standard passport photos used for Bangladesh passport, UK visa, Schengen visa, etc. are 35mm × 45mm (width × height). China requires a DIFFERENT size — 48mm × 33mm (width × height). These are wider and shorter than standard passport photos.

Submitting the wrong photo size is one of the most frequent rejection reasons for China visa from Bangladesh.

What to do: Visit a professional photo studio and say "China visa photo, 48 millimeters wide by 33 millimeters tall, white background." Do not assume any "visa photo" will work for China.

Biometrics (Fingerprints) at CVASC

Aspect Details
Who must provide? All applicants aged 14 to 70 years
Exempt Children under 14, adults over 70, certain diplomats
Type collected 10-finger digital fingerprint scan
Where At CVASC Dhaka during document submission — cannot be done separately
Validity 5 years from collection date — repeat applicants within 5 years may not need to provide again
Fingers must be Clean, no henna, no ink, no bandages, no nail polish on fingertips
💡 Fingerprint Quality Tips
  • Remove any henna, mehndi, nail polish, or ink from your fingertips before your submission appointment
  • If you have dry or cracked skin on fingertips, use moisturizer the evening before to improve fingerprint capture quality
  • Do not have bandages on fingers during submission if possible — inform CVASC if you have a medical reason
  • Workers with very worn fingerprints from manual labour may need extra care — arrive early and inform CVASC staff

Application Tracking & Collection

How to Track Your Application

1

Keep Your Receipt Safely

Your CVASC submission receipt contains your unique tracking number. Keep it safe — you need it for tracking and collection. Do not lose it.
2

Track Online

Visit CVASC Dhaka website and use the application tracking function with your receipt number. Status updates typically appear after 2–3 working days from submission.
3

Check SMS Notifications

If you provided your mobile number during submission, you may receive SMS updates when your passport is ready for collection. This is not guaranteed — rely on online tracking as primary method.
4

Collect Your Passport

Once status shows "Ready for Collection" or equivalent, collect your passport during collection hours: Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Bring your original submission receipt and NID/ID. Verify ALL visa details immediately before leaving CVASC.

Authorized Collection (If You Cannot Collect Personally)

  • Authorization Letter: Written and signed letter from you authorizing the person to collect on your behalf
  • Collector's ID: Original NID or passport of the person collecting
  • Your Submission Receipt: Original receipt from CVASC
  • Authorized collector must sign the collection record at CVASC

Verifying Your Visa After Collection — What to Check

  • Name spelling: Must match your passport exactly
  • Passport number: Must match your current passport
  • Visa validity period: Start date and end date of the visa window
  • Number of entries: Single, Double, or Multiple (M)
  • Duration of stay: How many days you can stay per entry (e.g., 30, 60, 90 days)
  • Visa category: L (Tourist), M (Business), X1, X2, etc. — confirm it matches what you applied for
⚠️ Report Errors Immediately

If you spot any error in your visa details (name spelling, dates, entry type), report it to CVASC staff immediately before leaving. Errors discovered after you leave are much harder to correct and may require a new application.

If Your Application Is Refused

  • Refusal Notice: CVASC will return your passport with a rejection slip indicating the reason (often in general terms)
  • Fees: All visa fees are completely non-refundable regardless of outcome
  • No Formal Appeal: China visa refusals generally cannot be formally appealed — you must address the issues and reapply
  • Reapplication: Identify the specific weakness (photo size, financial documents, missing stamp on invitation, etc.), correct it, and submit a new complete application
  • No Waiting Period: You can reapply immediately, but submitting the same weak application without improvements will result in another refusal
💡 After a Refusal — Get Honest Assessment

Contact goFLY at 01713-289170 for an honest assessment of your refusal before reapplying. We will review the rejection reason and tell you clearly whether your profile can be strengthened for a successful reapplication — or whether you need more time to build a stronger profile first. We would rather advise you to wait than take your money for another likely refusal.

Common Mistakes That Cause China Visa Refusal

Mistake Why It's a Problem Solution
Wrong photo size (most common) 48×33mm required — submitting 35×45mm passport photos is immediate rejection Get China-specific photos (48×33mm, white background) made at a professional studio
Inconsistent itinerary and hotel bookings Hotels show Beijing dates but itinerary shows Shanghai — creates credibility issue Cross-check all hotel bookings against itinerary dates and cities before submission
Weak or inconsistent financial documents Bank statements with no regular income or sudden large deposits look fabricated Show 6 months of consistent transactions; explain any large deposits with supporting documents
Business invitation without company chop Invitation letter without official red company stamp is not valid Ensure red company chop/stamp is visible and clear on all invitation letters
Unsigned application form Immediate rejection — form must be personally signed Sign the printed COVA form in the designated signature field before submission
Not submitting old passports Missed opportunity to show previous travel history and China visit compliance Bring all old passports to CVASC — even those with no China stamps help show international travel history
Unrealistic travel itinerary Claiming to visit 8 cities in 5 days looks impossible and fabricated Plan a realistic itinerary; allow travel time between cities and proper time at each destination
Missing cover letter Officer has no explanation of purpose, funding, or ties to Bangladesh Always include a clear, signed cover letter explaining your trip purpose and demonstrating ties to Bangladesh
Henna/mehndi on fingers during biometrics Affects fingerprint capture quality; may require rescheduling Ensure fingertips are clean, free of henna, ink, and nail polish for biometric collection
Applying with tourist visa for business purpose Using L visa to conduct business is misrepresentation — can result in China entry refusal Apply for the correct visa type — M visa for business activities, L visa for genuine tourism only

Real Applicant Scenarios

📌 About These Scenarios

The following are illustrative examples based on typical successful and unsuccessful application profiles from our experience — names and details are fictional. They demonstrate how documentation strategy and profile strength affect outcomes. Individual results depend on specific circumstances and consular assessment.

👨‍💼

RMG Exporter — Business Visit to Canton Fair

Illustrative Example · Garment accessories buyer, Canton Fair attendee

A garment accessories importer attended the Canton Fair in Guangzhou. He submitted an official Canton Fair invitation from the organizer, his company's trade licence and TIN certificate, 6-month business bank statements showing consistent trade activity, import/export records with Chinese suppliers, and a detailed business trip cover letter. His personal bank statements also showed a consistent balance well above trip cost.

✅ Double-entry M Visa granted in 4 working days
👩‍🎓

Student — CSC Scholarship at Beijing University

Illustrative Example · Masters student on Chinese Government Scholarship

A Bangladeshi student received a CSC scholarship for an MA program at a Beijing university. She submitted her Admission Notice, JW201 form, CSC award letter, academic transcripts from her Bachelor's program, completed Physical Examination Form, and parent bank statements. Her study plan clearly articulated why she chose this specific program and her career goals after returning to Bangladesh.

✅ X1 Student Visa granted in 5 working days
👨‍👩‍👦

Tourist — First Visit to Shanghai and Beijing

Illustrative Example · Mid-level professional, first China trip

A marketing executive applied for tourist L visa to visit Shanghai and Beijing for 10 days. He prepared a realistic day-by-day itinerary (5 days Shanghai, 5 days Beijing), hotel bookings matching the itinerary exactly, round-trip confirmed flight booking, 12-month salary payslips, employer NOC with specific return date, and 6-month personal bank statements with consistent salary credits. His cover letter explained specific attractions he wanted to visit and tied the trip to a career development interest in Chinese business culture.

✅ Single-entry L Visa granted in 4 working days

Refused — Wrong Photo Size + Inconsistent Itinerary

Illustrative Example · First-time applicant, multiple documentation errors

A first-time applicant submitted standard 35×45mm passport photos instead of 48×33mm. His itinerary claimed to visit Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Guilin in 8 days (unrealistic). His bank statement showed a large deposit of BDT 3 lakh just 10 days before application with no regular salary credits. No cover letter was included. The application was rejected at submission stage due to wrong photo size before even being formally processed.

❌ Rejected at CVASC submission — wrong photo size; reapplied with correct photos and stronger documents

goFLY Note: We always verify photo specifications before clients go to CVASC. This is why a free pre-submission document review can save you time and money.

Transit Visa & China's Free Transit Policy

G Visa (Transit Visa)

If you need to transit through China (stopover at a Chinese airport with city exit or extended layover), you may need a G Transit Visa. Requirements include:

  • Onward flight tickets: Confirmed booking to your final destination showing you will leave China
  • Destination country visa: Valid visa for your final destination (if required)
  • Transit itinerary: Plan for your transit period in China
  • Hotel booking: If you plan to leave the airport during transit
⚠️ 144-Hour & 72-Hour Visa-Free Transit — Does NOT Apply to Bangladeshis

China has a 144-hour (6-day) and 72-hour visa-free transit program available at select ports of entry. However, as of April 2026, Bangladeshi passport holders are NOT included in the list of nationalities eligible for this visa-free transit policy.

If you are transiting through China with a stopover that requires leaving the airport or exceeds airside transit limits, you will need to apply for a G Transit Visa through CVASC Dhaka.

China's transit policies are evolving — always check the latest policy with the Chinese Embassy Bangladesh or CVASC Dhaka before travel, as eligibility rules can change without much notice.

💡 Airside Transit (TWOV)

If your layover in China is short, you remain airside (inside the airport international zone without going through immigration), and you have a confirmed onward ticket, you generally do NOT need a transit visa. However, confirm this with your airline and the relevant airport before travel, as rules can vary by airport and flight route.

✈️ Flight Booking Tips for China
  • Use refundable or flexible flight bookings for visa applications — avoid non-refundable tickets until visa is granted
  • Guangzhou is the most popular destination for Bangladeshi business travelers (Canton Fair, trade/wholesale markets in Yiwu, Guangzhou)
  • Biman Bangladesh Airlines operates direct or near-direct routes to several Chinese cities — check current schedules
  • Book hotels at least 2–3 weeks in advance for popular Chinese cities during Golden Week (October 1–7) and Chinese New Year

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Complete the online application form on the COVA system, print and sign it. Gather required documents (passport, 48×33mm white background photos, flight bookings, hotel reservations, bank statements, employment proof, cover letter). Visit CVASC Dhaka (Level 4, 66 Gulshan Avenue) during submission hours (Sunday to Thursday, 9 AM – 12 PM), submit documents, provide fingerprints, pay the fee. Track your application online using your receipt number. Collect passport with visa sticker from CVASC after 4–5 working days. goFLY can assist with the entire preparation process — call 01713-289170.

China requires a specific 48mm × 33mm photo on a pure white background. This is NOT the standard passport photo size (35×45mm). Wrong photo size is one of the most common rejection reasons for China visa applications. Visit a professional photo studio and specifically request "China visa photo, 48 millimeters wide by 33 millimeters tall, white background." Do not use any photos taken for other visa applications.

Approximate fees (April 2026): Single entry ৳7,500–9,000, Double entry ৳11,000–13,000, Multiple entry (6 months) ৳14,000–16,000, Multiple entry (1 year) ৳17,000–20,000. Express processing adds ৳3,000–4,000 and Rush (1 day) processing adds ৳6,000–7,000. All fees are non-refundable regardless of outcome. Always verify current rates on the official CVASC website before visiting as fees can change.

Regular processing takes 4–5 working days from submission date. Express processing takes 2–3 working days with an additional fee. Rush processing takes 1 working day with a higher fee, subject to availability. Processing time starts from the date of document submission at CVASC Dhaka, not from the date you completed the online form. Working days exclude Fridays, Saturdays, Chinese public holidays, and Bangladeshi public holidays.

Yes. All applicants aged 14–70 must provide 10-finger fingerprints at CVASC Dhaka during document submission. Children under 14 and adults over 70 are exempt. Fingerprints are collected during the same visit as document submission — you cannot do them separately. Fingerprints are valid for 5 years. Ensure your fingertips are free of henna, nail polish, ink, or bandages for best capture quality.

For standard tourism with confirmed hotel bookings, an invitation letter is generally not required for the L Tourist Visa. If you are visiting friends in China, an invitation letter from them with their ID copy strengthens your application. For Business visa (M Visa), Family Reunion (Q1/Q2), Private Affairs (S1/S2), and Work visa (Z), invitation letters are mandatory requirements without which the application cannot proceed.

Possible but not guaranteed for first-time applicants. Single-entry is most commonly issued on first applications for tourism. Multiple-entry visas are more likely if you have previous China travel history shown in old passports, strong and verifiable business ties with Chinese companies (for M visa), or attend the Canton Fair regularly. Your second application with a good travel compliance record has significantly better chances of receiving multiple entry.

Address: Suvastu Suraiya Trade Center, Level 4, 66 Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka 1212. Submission hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Collection hours: Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and all Chinese and Bangladeshi public holidays. Always verify current hours on the official CVASC website before visiting.

All visa fees are non-refundable. You will receive your passport back with a rejection notice. There is no formal appeal process — you must address the rejection reasons and submit a new complete application. Common rejection reasons include wrong photo size (must be 48×33mm), inconsistent itinerary and hotel bookings, weak financial documents, missing company stamp on business invitation, and unsigned application form. Contact goFLY at 01713-289170 for honest assessment before reapplying.

X1 visa is for study programs lasting more than 180 days (over 6 months). It requires both an Admission Notice AND the JW201 (government scholarship) or JW202 (self-funded) form from your Chinese institution. X1 holders must apply for a Residence Permit at the local Public Security Bureau within 30 days of entering China. X2 visa is for study programs up to 180 days and has simpler requirements — just an Admission Notice or school invitation and financial proof. X2 holders do not need to convert to a residence permit.

goFLY can assist with Z Visa document preparation ONLY after you have a genuine job offer and your Chinese employer has obtained the Work Permit Notification Letter from Chinese authorities (takes 2–4 weeks). We do NOT arrange jobs or process work permits ourselves. Any agency promising "China work visa packages" or "factory job visas" without a verifiable employment contract from a registered Chinese company is almost certainly a scam. Be extremely cautious of such offers.

As of April 2026, Bangladeshi passport holders are NOT included in China's 144-hour or 72-hour visa-free transit program. If you are transiting through China with a stopover that requires leaving the airport or exceeds permitted airside transit limits, you will need a G Transit Visa obtained through CVASC Dhaka before travel. China's transit policies evolve — always verify with the Chinese Embassy Bangladesh before booking travel that involves a China transit stop.
