About Salam Air
Salaam Air is Oman’s first low-cost carrier and the premier airline for low-cost flights in and out of the country. Flights from Salam Air began in early 2017, with a primary service between Muscat and Salalah. It landed its first international airline a month later, with service between Muscat and Dubai, it’s one of the most popular routes to date.
Being a low-cost carrier means giving people choice and flexibility while shaping travel and having a great experience. We want more people to be able to travel more often without having to compromise their experience because of the expense they offer by providing alternative modes of transportation and spending the day they want to choose.
The airline operates flights on 3 Airbus A320-200 leased from the South American LATAM Group. Its first aircraft arrived in Muscat on November 18, 2016, to coincide with the country’s National Day. The airline began flights between Omani city Muscat and Salalah between January 30, 2017, with Salam Air flies on February 28, 2017, first international service, the Muscat-Dubai route. It initially served Dubai World Central but the service launched Dubai International on October 23, 2017. Since its inauguration, Salam Air has begun operations in Jeddah, Medina, and Taif in KSA and has also operated flights to Karachi, Multan, Sialkot in Pakistan. Qatar is expected to be the third country to operate Hamad International Airport. Source: Salaam Air in Dhaka
